Nine Creighton women's soccer players earned All-Missouri Valley Conference honors Thursday.
Junior Brittney Neumann was joined by seniors Andrea Zuniga and Erin Gunther on the first team. Seniors Macy Mauer and Alicia Montgomery picked up second-team honors.
Neumann, the 2010 MVC player of the year, was named to the first team for a third consecutive year. Only 16 other players in league history have earned three or more first-team All-MVC honors.
Zuniga garnered first-team honors for a second consecutive year. She and Neumann combined for 13 goals and two assists.
Montgomery also earned second-team honors in 2009. She owns the CU record for goals against average after posting a 0.83 mark during her career.
Lauren Cingoranelli and Beth Fyles were named honorable mention for Creighton, while Stephanie Anasi and Madelyn Buckner, were named to the all-freshman team.
