CONWAY, Ark. — Creighton is starting its season 3-0 for the first time since 2000 after sweeping Central Arkansas with a 5-1 win Sunday afternoon.
Chance Ross led the Bluejays by going 3 for 5 and Nick Judkins hit a two-run home run in the first inning.
Nick Musec picked up the win with 2 2⁄3 innings of relief. Creighton used five pitchers in the game, including first-time starter Andrew Urban, who threw 50 pitches.
The Bluejays travel to Portland next weekend. First pitch against the Pilots is Friday at 4 p.m.
